Our first day was quite a success! All of the students successfully navigated public transportation, and met the students and staff at the schools! We can't wait to continue with our project to help provide behavior analytic services to children in Iceland. Here is a description from one of the ABA students:
"The first day as aspiring behavioral consultants began by experiencing a bit of the Icelandic commuting culture. We were set to adventure early in the morning, greeted by the Strætó bus drivers three different times and only missed two buses so it started out about as smoothly as expected. We enjoyed the trip and more importantly, we were still on time! The consult began with observations in the classroom and in the sub-separate classroom. Next, we observed on the playground as children navigated through gardens, swing sets, and climbers. This information was helpful for our discussion during the second half of the day where we collaborated on our notes and established an outline of client goals and strategies. I’m very excited to see what tomorrow has to offer."
